Ja m’he recuperat de les agulletes que vaig agafar el divendres amb l’excursió anual de l’IQC. No és que em canses molt i molt com altres cops, l’excursió va estar molt bé però he tingut agulletes igual….

El divendres 26 es va celebrar a tot Europa la Nit de la Recerca. Jo vaig col·laborar en l’edició gironina i vam construir un ful·lerè molt mooolt gros.

Aquest vespre ja s’acaba la reunió de la xarxa. Tal com vaig dir fa uns dies aquest any l’ha organitzat l’IQC de la Universitat de Girona. Per resumir: moltes xerrades i moltíssima gent!! Cap a 180 químucs teòrics i computacionals catalans!!
Ara ja toca pensar en el Girona Seminar…

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), the Institute of Research in Biomedicine, the Spanish National Institute of Bioinformatics and the British Collaborative Computational Project for Biomolecular Simulation (CCPB) with the collaboration of the Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria Foundation (fBBVA) are pleased to announce a 2-day (10-11 July 2008 ) workshop exploring the state-of-the-art in Biomolecular Simulation, that will be held in Barcelona.
Limited to 36 participants and mixing seminar presentations with hands-on sessions, the workshop will concentrate on two vital issues in the molecular dynamics simulation of biomolecular systems. Firstly it will cover preparing systems for molecular dynamics, examining issues such as correcting structural errors, coping with ionisation states and solvation, plus equilibration procedures. Secondly it will cover tools and techniques for the analysis of the very large trajectory data sets modern simulations can produce, including the assessment of data quality and extraction of biologically relevant information.
The course will be suitable for those with limited previous experience in biomolecular simulation, though a basic understanding of simulation methodologies and of computing in a Unix/Linux environment will be needed.

El divendres passat era a l’estant de l’IQC construint un ful·lerè amb globós. XD Sí, ja me’n puc anar a la Rambla a guanyar-me la vida de pallasso. Si us interessa el tema de la globoflèxia molecular hi han unes webs prou interessats del tema i no és gaire complicat en realitat.

Quan de temps sense un post nou…
Els propers dies 16 i 18 d’Abril es durà un terme un curset (tant bàsic com avançat) del programa QSAR a Barcelona. Aquest programa és un dels que hem estat fent servir d’exemple en el master MECHMOD que estic fent i sembla molt interessant i relacionat amb els continguts del master.
